2009 Season Recap
I believe 2009 was our best year ever at Stone Ledge. While the year began hot and dry, summer rains saved the day and we had an abundance of acorns to help provide nourishment for the wildlife in early fall.
Our year 'round feeding program also continued to pay big dividends. How? Not only are we seeing MORE animals than ever....but some of the big ones (the TROPHIES) seem to have figured out that they can "go nocturnal" and live another year. This means they'll be even bigger in 2010!

Many of our hunters scored with their TWO whitetail bucks which helped with our overall management plan and the future continues to look bright!
We did notice that the axis does and black buck does, in particular, got really SMART once we began thinning their numbers. And towards the end of the season, they were like trying to find the Taliban!
In 2009, we hosted many fine folks who purchased hunts in association with our friends at Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) and most plan on returning in 2010. Thank you to our new friends and thanks for supporting CCA.

Finally, the success we have had at Stone Ledge is a true Team effort. And everyone on our staff deserves to be recognized and saluted...

Thanks Mate! Your professionalism and enthusiasm are contagious. We had a fantastic first season with you and we hope you'll return to help us in 2010. Good luck in the off-season "down under".

As always, you are solid as a rock and a more loyal and harder working hunting guide would be nearly impossible to find. Thanks for your long hours and commitment to the hunters and to Stone Ledge.

What can I say that hasn't been said by everyone (a million times)? You are incredible. Day in and day out, all year long, you are watching out for our animals (and for us)! We appreciate your dedication and loyalty, your hard work and everything that you put into Stone Ledge.

Folks, these people represent YOUR Team. And they will take care of you better than any other group of people I have ever met. I guarantee it.
If you're looking for a fun, real and memorable hunt in the beautiful Texas hill country, I hope you'll consider becoming part of the growing Stone Ledge family in 2010.
